2019/20 Calendar of Events

The South Lake Tahoe Branch holds monthly programs usually on the second Saturday or Wednesday of the month during the school year (we take July and August off). Most programs are held in the Aspen Room of the Library Building at Lake Tahoe Community College. The public is usually welcome to attend these programs. Light refreshments are provided. Questions about the programs can be directed to either the Programs Chair or the President, listed on the “Branch Board” page, under the “About” tab.

Lake Tahoe Community College is located at One College Drive, off of Al Tahoe Blvd in South Lake Tahoe. The Aspen Room is located in the Roberta Mason Library Building. Click the following link to get directions to the college. Then click on “Maps” in the bottom right corner of the “Home” page to see a map of the college grounds and to find the Library Building (located left of the Main campus building).

(location at Aspen Room, Library Building, LTCC, unless otherwise noted)

December 2019                                                                                                                                            By Jeanne Benin

The calendar has flipped to December and it’s time to celebrate the Winter Holidays! Come join us for a pot luck brunch on Saturday, December 7 at 10am at the lovely home of Barb DeGraaf, 1586 Grizzly Mountain Road. Bring a dish to share, and if participating in our (infamous) Pirate Gift Exchange, a new or re-gifted treasure (please, worth no more than $15 or we’ll be too cut-throat) to exchange. In the spirit of giving, we will have baskets for donations to our philanthropies: Tech Trek and the LTCC Scholarship. As is our custom, we have invited another non-profit to join us to describe their organization, The Sugar Pine Foundation. We will collect donations on their behalf also.

Please let Barb know by Thursday if you will be attending: or call 530-573-1283.

We always have fun, laughter and a very good time. Consider inviting a guest to join you.  The season is always busy, so let’s begin early with a time to enjoy each other’s company.
